Continuing to make progress

I promised myself I'd make inroads on my UFO drawer and I have been. The most recent was the Hmong-style pillow. I've also been working away on a lovely cream-on-cream silk & bead embroidery. It's supposed to top a music/jewelry box, but it looks like the manufacturer doesn't carry that particular model anymore, so I'll have to figure out something else (not a pillow!).

Last night's project was getting the binding on the Ugliest Quilt Ever. All the machine sewing is done and the loose edge of the binding just needs to be slip-stitched to the back. I started on that, but Albert objected vigorously. Just in time for the weather to turn cool, I should have a TV-watching quilt that I won't mind getting cat hair all over.

In a few weeks I'll be taking 2 long plane rides, so perhaps I should haul out one of the cross-stitch mermaids I haven't worked on in way too long. Maybe. One of those is early morning and the other is a red-eye, so maybe not. But definitely a pocket sized project for downtime at the convention itself.
