Ashita no Kioku/Crazy Moon PV
FINALLY! I'm here to share my top 5 parts of both PVs (yay!) =D I was going to do it last night, but I was dead tired D: I'm actually still dead tired, but I'll manage to post this >.<
Aishita no Kioku
I'm not sure how many times I've said this, but I will say it again. I like Crazy Moon over Ashita no Kioku. Actually, I take that back. It's not that I don't like AnK, it's just that I don't really care for it. Don't get me wrong it's a really nice PV and a really nice song- it has a lot of emotion in it and I think it would be a nice song to hear with a live orchestra. The song/PV doesn't really capture my attention; it's almost like Beautiful Days, but it's white instead (haha). I also didn't really understand the deeper meaning behind all of the objects and whatnot- it would probably help if I knew what they were singing about (nvm just read a translation of it)- but I really can't put a meaning to it and it somewhat bothers me >_>
I also think they could have gone further with the PV. For example, I think it would have been cool if they had the close up of one of the members singing in the foreground, and in the background they had the other members working on the collage and they would be out of focus or something along those lines. Of course, this is just me thinking of random things. The director did a good job on the PV, I'm just too lazy to interpret it. =P
Like everyone else, I'm going through colorful Arashi withdrawals. (lol) As yorii-chan said in her post, the PV looks too washed out. Where is the color?? T___T
It seems as though all I have done is bash this PV, but really I do think it's nice! The first 5 caps will be my top 5 parts from the PV (working from 5 to 1) and the other 5 are some other shots/parts that I thought were nice. =]
Number 5 No, I didn't choose this because of Ohmiya (I'm sorry I don't really...care for them, pleasedon'tkillmekthxbai). I think Nino looks cool in this shot, and I usually don't think Ninomouse is that cool! (he's more cute) lol
Number 4 Smiling Aiba! So cute~ =3
Number 3 MatsuJun has a nice smile in this one. Very natural. =D
Number 2 It's Ohno and he's painting. Enough said. =]
Number 1 I like this still of them, the collage in the back actually balances out the washed outness lol
I know no Sho in any of these top 5 favorites D: I do think he looks good in this PV, just couldn't find a good shot of him actually doing something instead of just starring at the camera/starring off into the distance.
My most favorite parts of the PV would have to be the vintage feel to it and it feels kind of nostalgic with the whiteness, but it's still too washed out. =P I also like the end where everyone is working on the collage, I wish they would have elaborated on that more and focus what kind of pictures were included in the collage. >_<
Crazy Moon ~Kimi wa Muteki~
Ahahaha. XD I like this PV. XD I say like not love because it's not as great as some others, but it's pretty up there. =D Where to start? The choreography was awesome, yes I loved it. It was very technical and they did a good job being N'sync (haha yeah dumb pun). The camera angles were great too! I loved how it was a pretty straight forward PV, yet it added in some new things. Like the shots from below (that was pretty cool yo!) and I liked how the group shots and the individual shots were nicely balanced out.
The song itself I like because it has spunk in it. It kind of reminds me of their older album How's it Going? (which is one of my favorite albums), and that's a definite plus for me. =] For some reason, the backdrop and the random flashing lights reminds me a football field. lol I'm not really sure why, but it does. It's not a good or bad thing, just kind of random.
What is this PV lacking?? COLOR! Again, color is missing, but it actually seems warmer than Believe
This time instead of caps I bring you...GIFS! It's hard to point out what my favorite part is seeing as this is a dancing PV so showing clips is the best solution. =] Unfortunately I still don't know how to make my own gifs (sob) but thankfully there are some nice people who are sharing their gifs with us. =D So all credit goes to amnostashima for the gifs!
The opening is pretty cool because everyone appears out of nowhere...sort of. =P
This part was trippy! I thought they were going to do some type of line formation and do something with their hands, but they tricked me and did some rotating action thing.

Once again, don't care for Ohmiya, but I do like this trade off part in the song. I don't think they have ever done this before.
Most favorite part of the PV. Once again, cool.
Ohno's in the middle =D Plus, I found this part to be catchy to use as their CM.
And then ending is always great, not as great as the ending of Believe live, but still great. =D
And those were my favorite parts of the PVs. I must admit, after reading my posts I am a bit harsh. heh But, I mean it in a good way! I also have noticed that there is always one word that I use constantly to explain a PV. For Ashita no Kioku it would have to be nice and washed out, for Crazy Moon I used cool. lol
Finally finished with this, now off to sleep~
