Is it really the summer I graduated from college?

Yesterday was the first day it felt like summer.  I went to the Sasamoto's to eat ramen with James, which totally owned because it was the best I've had since living in Japan AND Mrs. Sasamoto makes the best homemade gyoza evaa.  We then spent about 3 hours or more trying to register Eri for the Toefl test.  No luck, but at least we got her log-in problem fixed.  Then we had some more tea and talked about flute lessons for Kozue before we left.  I'll try teaching her preliminary flute (posture, mouth shape, breathing and simple notes) while we're looking for a professional for her.
Upon returning to Tuscaloosa James and I had dinner at Zaxby's and then saw Pirates (my second time, his first).  'Twas very nice, but when we got back to my house he had to head back to Hueytown and I had work set out for me.  At least it will be a total makeover for the better if I'm successful in my endeavor.  We had a freak air conditioner accident that only affected my room and the hallway (with water in the carpet and celing problems), but on the positive side it means we're getting rid of the ugly carpet and making way for cool, new (non-carpet) floors.  I'll be very glad when it's all over, though.
The Yayoi front is looking more positive-- most likely she will never be as close a friend as Friskey, but at least there's potential to be good acquaintances.
