Deja Vu
Life can very freakily coincidental at times.
Thursday night I was surfing YouTube and found some CLex vids. Yummy. I watched a great angsty love story where Clark and Lex had a little boy and it was set during Christmas (my favourite time of year). I only started reading CLex about a month ago. The best thing about finding a new fandom well after everyone else has moved on? The multitude of stories available :)
Friday night I was surfing YouTube and watched a Supernatural vid. This time I remembered that the show is actually on TV later on that night. Not having my TV Guide at hand, I went on to TV3 and TV2 website to check the channel and time. I found the Supernatural details and also found that Smallville immediately follows. Now while I *read* CLex I don't actually watch the show, having only watched the first 5 eps of season 1. So when I say freakily coincidental? The SV episode? Season *5* - was the very one that the music vid I watched yesterday was based on!!!!!!!
I watched SV - Michael Rosenbaum redefines sexy. Guh! Couldn't help but think that Lex's life was Lana was really some version of Dante's Hell, but what else can you expect from mundane scriptwriting for the masses - which is why fanfic developed in the first place.
BTW - Supernatural? HAS REAL SCARY SPECIAL EFFECTS WITH SCARY MUSIC AND SCARY PEOPLE APPEARING OUT OF THE CORNER OF YOUR EYE WITH HORRIBLE SCARY FACES AND THANK GOD I WAS WATCHING IT WITH MY 14YEAR OLD DAUGHTER SO I DIDN'T GET TOO SCARED. :) :) :)
Not watching THAT again!
No, really, not sure what all the fuss is about, even allowing for Wincest. Something of a disappointment.
