and school approaches (among other things)
yay! so carly and I finally found a place to stay for Dragoncon!
it was touch and go for a while there, I really thought that we would just pitch a tent in the olympic park in atlanta for the weekend, which although would have been quite exciting, would also be much to noisy. so we found a hotel. a bit more expensive then we planned, but that's what we get for waiting until 12 days before the con.
speaking of the con, merlin is in the process of creating many many works of costuming art (ok ok two. but it feels like a lot more). carly's dress is almost done, and merlin's costume is in the planning stages (did we mention it's only 12 days til the con? crazy we know, but that's how merlin's like to work). I shall put up pictures as soon as they are presentable.
in other news, school starts on thursday. and it's merlin's last semester. hooray hoorooh! oh joy of joys. this means though that I need to work on my epic poem as it is still not epic enough. I think it needs a cyclops. it worked for Homer, it could work for me.
