This time it is just a sketch. I plan to colour the left bit (Arthur and Merlin), but I thought it was kind of funny so I thought I'd share. ^^

I adore Merlin's face on the left, and Uther's thought-balloon Merlin is wonderful. I bet that's really how the old goat sees the "heir and spare" :p

aw, thank you. whenever i sit somewhere and want to have fun i draw merlins like that. he doesn't like me for it. ^^

*is confused* That would imply that Merlin was Arthur's younger brother, set to be next in line for the throne if Arthur died without any children.

Strictly speaking, yes it would. But where I come from "spare" is also short for "spare wheel" or annoying follow-me-around baggage, which I'm sure Uther thinks Merlin is by now. I wouldn't fancy parenting them both :p
