Oh this was lovely! I really liked how Arthur asking Merlin to go out with him got turned completely on Arthur's head. He definitely wasn't expecting Merlin to have expectations of him! Well, other than the usual of not being allowed his pain meds and generally not be a complete nasty git. I do feel for him, though, he is lonely and lost. I hope this gives him a purpose, it's about time he pulled himself out of his self-imposed prison. Looking forward to the next bit! :)

I'm looking forward to Arthur coaching these little kids and finding some purpose in his life again. That's just what he needs to really move on from his injury.

There's no way Merlin didn't hear Arthur asking him out on a date. Maybe he's unwilling to cross that line while he's still treating Arthur.
