Summary: Arthur Pendragon works in intelligence. He's smart. He knows he shouldn't trust in tarot cards and Gwen's increasingly tetchy predictions that he'll find love with a magician. Doesn't stop him hoping, though.

For a long kinkmeme prompt: Every year, on December 31st, two things happen to Arthur Pendragon: 1) Morgana begs, bribes and guilt-trips him into attending her New Year's Eve party, and he finds a way to avoid going. 2) Gwen insists on telling his fortune, and predicts that a "tall, dark, handsome stranger" will change his life forever (bonus points if she's annoyed at how predictable Arthur's fate is). This year, Arthur finds himself unable to avoid going to the party. This year, he meets Merlin.
