I hope that the way in which the "homoerotic tension" has been picked up as a positive selling point in the media means they won't have decided that they overdid that and dial it back for season two!

They should ramp the homoerotic tension all the way up for S2!

Agree with you there. I'm in slight wibbles wondering if they toned it down for S2. But I have a feeling they didn't. ;)

Yeah, I have a feeling they kept it too. They make enough off-the-cuff comments about Bradley and Colin's great relationship and so on in media events, and they all know what they are doing with the media, if they were trying to change/remove the homoerotic overtones they would just avoid any reference that could be construed even slightly in that direction.

Agree. :D I think they are also aware that one of the main selling points of the show is A/M. So they have to keep the tones alive, me thinks.

This show is not made for or aimed at the US market. Its a British show made by the BBC for British viewers. It has been sold around the world (which is always good at it adds to the revenue) but if another country does not like it or fails to pick it up it wouldn't affect it being made ( ... )

I know that. I'm a British viewer who saw it when it was shown on the BBC. But it was also picked up in the British media in a positive light, and made reference to the potential homosexual overtones. I was merely extending this with reference to the article posted.

Since, by the time it's shown in the USA, they've already practically made the second season, I'm sure it will have very little influence at all. It's merely interesting that the Amerian media, which is much less gay friendly, has also chosen to highlight that aspect of the show.
