Roleplay time! You're heading through acting school. What sort of roles would you be interested in being cast in?:

It's your first read-through of the script with the whole cast, and right when it comes to your section where you get to read your first line, your co-star starts improvising on the spot. Would you be annoyed, find it ingenius and think it makes the script even better than before, stop and laugh it off, or talk to your co-star later about how you thought it was inappropriate? (Remember, this is how YOU react to it, so it can be completely different than the options given!):

Between takes of filming, you see your co-star playing with one of the children on set. What's your opinion on kids?

What do you think about friendships and dating between co-stars?:

What would be the hardest part of being an actor/actress for you?:

What would be your favourite part of being an actor/actress?:

Anything else you'd like to mention?

Post at least three pictures of yourself, or a detailed description:

I have voted for all the outstanding applications [ ]

Slight Biographies Under Here for the top characters on the show. All other personalities who have worked on Merlin can be found with a quick and easy search at: http://merlin.wikia.com/wiki/Merlin_Wiki. (Plus I felt slightly creepy looking up people's personal information, you all can do it for me |DDD -facepalm-)

Colin Morgan, AKA Merlin:

Colin Morgan was born on January 1, 1986 in Northern Ireland.

Pursuing his interests in the performing arts, he gained National Diploma in Performing Arts at Belfast Institute of Further & Higher Education in 2004. Later on, he graduated from the prestigious Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2007. Morgan began his career on the stage, appearing on an Old Vic adaptation of Pedro Almodovar’s Todo sobre mi madre. He later took on the title role in the Young Vic stage production of DBC Pierre’s Vernon God Little.

Colin Morgan has taken on roles on several television shows as well. In 2007, he was seen on the Christmas special episode of The Catherine Tate Show. He played the character John Leary, and followed it up with another role the next year. It was in the Doctor Who episode “ Midnight ” that he portrayed the character Jethro Cane, before he landed a part that shot him to fame. In 2008, he was cast as the title role in the BBC TV series Merlin, which focuses on the myth of the legendary wizard during his young days. Joining him in the series are fellow actors Bradley James, Richard Wilson, Anthony Head, Angel Coulby, Katie McGrath, John Hurt, Michelke Ryan and Santiago Cabrera. For his role in Merlin, Morgan was awarded the Caron Keating Outstanding Newcomer Award from the Variety Club Showbiz Awards.

Morgan has also been involved in radio, and has made his debut in Cry Babies by Kim Newman. It occurred in 2009 and was heard on BBC Radio 4. He has also been slated for a role in the big screen, playing Calum in the film The Sea Change. The movie is based on the novel Island by Jane Rogers. Other theatre roles of Morgan’s include A Prayer for My Daughter, also n the Young Vic theatre in London.
According to Anthony Head, Colin Morgan is allergic to tomatoes, which presumably makes filming difficult for him, considering the frequency at which Merlin is thrown in the stocks. He's also lactose intolerant and a vegan.

Bradley James, AKA Arthur:

Bradley James (b. 11 October 1983) is a British actor who plays the character of King Arthur Pendragon on the BBC television series Merlin (confirmed per radio interview with Jonathan Ross[1]).

Bradley made his first appearance in an episode of Lewis in 2008. He also played the part of Ben Davies in the BBC Three drama Dis/Connected.
He trained at Drama Centre London. His breakthrough came when he was chosen to play Prince Arthur, a teenage boy who would later become the legendary King Arthur, in the BBC One fantasy TV series Merlin. In an interview, he stated that he had enjoyed being involved with the stunts. However, he had "picked up more than his fair share of injuries". He and co-star Colin Morgan went on an exploration of Arthurian legends for BBC Wales The Real Merlin & Arthur in 2009.

Angel Coulby, AKA Gwen:

Angel Coulby (b. 30 August 1980) is a British actress who portrays the character of Guinevere on the BBC series Merlin. She has appeared in almost all of the episodes to date, with the exception of The Sorcerer's Shadow, Aithusa and a Herald of the New Age.

Like many Merlin actors, she had a (albeit small) role on Doctor Who before Merlin, playing a friend of Madame De Pompodour in The Girl in the Fireplace.

In an interview, she stated that she enjoys being able to play Gwen from an early stage in her life, where she's a humble and lowly maid servant, all the way to her becoming Queen of Camelot. She has stated in past interviews that she enjoys music festivals and has recently taken up sewing and is learning to make clothes.

She made her television debut in the BBC television sitcom 'Orrible. Coulby trained for a degree in acting at the Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.
Katie McGrath, AKA Morgana:

Katie McGrath (b. 1983) is an Irish actress who portrays the character of Morgana Pendragon on the BBC television series Merlin. Prior to Merlin her highest-profile film/TV role had been a guest-star appearance in an episode of The Tudors and the horror film "Freakdog" (also released as "Red Mist").

Katie is set to play Oriane in the 4-part mini-series, Labyrinth. It is based on a novel and is set to be released late summer of 2012.

Anthony Head, AKA Uther:

Anthony Stewart Head (b. 20 February 1954) is an English musician and actor. He portrays the character of King Uther Pendragon on Merlin. He first came to international fame in the late 1980s when he starred in an ongoing series of romantic-themed commercials for Taster's Choice coffee, which were aired in both the UK and North America. In the 1990s he co-starred in the popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series, playing the character Rupert Giles. His recent appearances outside Merlin have included Repo! The Genetic Opera, and several Doctor Who projects including playing the evil headmaster in School Reunion and providing voice-over work for the Infinite Quest animated serial and for audio dramas. He seems to alternate between using and not using his middle name in his credits.

Santiago Cabrera, AKA Lancelot:

Santiago Cabrera (b. 5 May 1978) is a Chilean actor who portrayed the titular character in the episode Lancelot. His character also returns in Lancelot and Guinevere, The Coming of Arthur: Part Two. His character dies in The Darkest Hour and is revived in Lancelot Du Lac (and dies again).

The middle child of a Chilean diplomat father and homemaker mother, Cabrera was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Santiago grew up in London, Romania, Toronto and Madrid. His family returned to Chile when he was fifteen years old and as a captain of the football team in high school, Cabrera focused on athletics before switching gears; he headed towards acting when his high school drama teacher encouraged him to try it. During his three years of training at the Drama Centre London, Cabrera honed his acting skills in productions of The Madras House, A Month in the Country, Napoli Milionaria, Britannicus, The Dutch Courtesan, The Strangeness of Others, A Field, Three Birds Alighting On, and played the title character in The Last Days of Don Juan.

Concurrent with his final year at the Centre, he made his television debut with small roles in the British television series Battlefield Britain, Judge John Deed, Spooks and As If. His first role after graduating from drama school was Montano in Shakespeare's Othello, at the Northampton Theatre Royal. He has also starred in the 2006 american film, Love and Other Disasters, alongside Brittany Murphy and Matthew Rhys.

He has appeared on American television in Empire (where he portrays Octavius, Julius Caesar's teenage nephew, whom Caesar named as his successor before his death). Most notably, he is known for his role as Isaac Mendez in the NBC series Heroes. Once the character's arc ended, he narrated some episodes of the BBC's spin-off documentary series Heroes Unmasked.

In addition to his fluency in Spanish, English, French and Italian, Cabrera is skilled in tennis, hockey and scuba diving. On the January 20, 2007 episode of the NBC late-night program Vivo Mun2, Cabrera discussed his semi-professional football career in London before he fully committed to acting. He also stated that C.D. Universidad Católica of Santiago is his favorite team. Although he considers Santiago, Chile, his hometown, he splits his time between London and Los Angeles.

On 7 September 2008, Cabrera participated in Soccer Aid, a British charity football match in support of UNICEF.

John Hurt, AKA Kilgharrah the Dragon:

John Vincent Hurt CBE (b. 22 January 1940) is an acclaimed English character actor who provides the voice of Kilgharrah in the BBC series Merlin. He narrates the TV show as well. Although his character doesn't appear in some episodes he's been credited for voicing the title narration of all episodes up-to-date.
Hurt's career dates back to the 1960s and has included appearances in many iconic films and TV series, including [[wikipedia:I, Claudius (TV Claudius]], the first Alien film, Watership Down, 1984, and V for Vendetta. He also played Mr. Ollivander in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and reprised the role in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and 2Source.
