[Arthur's in a very good mood indeed - excepting the situation with the King (who Arthur still wants to challenge to duel whenever he thinks about the events of the past few days) - Guinevere is safe and the weather has warmed right up.]

"Never picked you for the poppy type," [he greets him with a laugh.]

[chuckles a bit and nods] I had been thinking of gifts one gives when in love.

Flowers aren't right at all, I suppose. They wither and die so quickly. I thought maybe the necklace with my families crest. [smiles, looking to Arthur to see if he would approve of that idea.]

"Ah, I see," [Arthur nods, it's something that's been on his mind too lately. Not that he can say so.]

"I can't imagine anyone complaining about recieving such a gift."

I'm glad you think so. [pulls the chain and locket from his neck, letting it slide between his fingers for a small while before pressing it into Arthur's palm.]

[Arthur blinks...looks at the chain and locket, then back at Leon.]

"Er...why are you giving it to me? Weren't we talking about a lady love?"

"No, si-Arthur." [shakes his head, closing Arthur's fingers around the small token.]

"I love you. It has just taken me this long to realize it, to tell you the truth."

[If Arthur was bemused before...well, his jaw is somewhere in the neighbourhood of the ground now.]

[smiles and reaches out to rest a hand on Arthur's shoulder.] You are the best man I know, and I have long since sworn my life to you. It is a wonder it has taken me this long to realize.

"Oh! Ooooh!" [Arthur gives a laugh of relief.] "You mean in a 'love your leader' kind of way." [Gives a cocky grin.] "I have been known to inspire such affections."

"Don't look like that..." [he begs.] "I mean...please...I had no idea. I'm not really...you know...so inclined. It's nothing personal. I mean you're really very handsome and were I a woman..." [OK, this is getting weird!]
