Happy Winter Solstice :-)
For a long time now, I‘m celebrate winter solstice every year. For me it is one of the 3 big celebration days: summer solstice, birthday and winter solstice. So today, at 6:30 p.m. the sun reached it‘s lowest angle over the horizon. As a consequence, today we will only have 8 hours and 5 minutes sunlight in my country, at least in theory :-) It is the „shortest“ day in the year.
But of course it is cloudy. Nevertheless, we will celebrate tonight, having a nice meal, honey Mead and lots of candles.
I like to take advantage of that special day to share some of my winter impression from last december here, unlike this year it was snowy and everything just looked beautiful :-)
