Summer Solstice 2011: I can't stand the rain ... against my window ;-)
LOl! Normally I don‘t have any problem neither with raining in general nor with hearing the drops against my window (that can be actually pretty cool in autum, with a good book on my couch, tea and candles), but enough is enough :-) Hello? It supposed to be summer!
Especially now, because yesterday at 19:16 MESZ the sun as viewed from Earth reaches its highest point in the sky. Summer solstice is longest day of the year, but not necessarily the warmest or even the day with the most sunlight :-( Although the atmosphere and the oceans absorb a lot of heat these days, it will take a couple of weeks to release it, which is why the hottest days on the northern hemisphere are usually in July or August.
But hey, there are nice things to discover even when the weather is bad, and I have some of them to share with you:
