On the other hand, the background behind Merlin didn't look like anything I'd seen in the Great Hall. Could they have made it smaller somehow or used a different location for those shots? Very confusing. I suppose that they'd use the same type windows and fireplace elsewhere in the castle.
Hon, thank you so much for all the photos and the speculation! It seems from comments made here and on the website that the locations have been identified as the inner keep gatehouse and areas above and beside the great hall. I have been in the ruined area beside the great hall, but otherwise all this was closed or unavailable when I was last there! So I can feel another Locations Trip coming on... :-D
Thank you so much for all your input in the meantime. ♥
Yes, sorry for all the spamming. I don't have editing capability (because I'm too cheap). I also feel another Locations Trip coming on. This time I'll know to take more pictures - of everything not just what I'd already seen in the show. I do love that they keep coming back to certain locations. Every time they do and I've been there, my heart just leaps with excitement!
Hee! No need to apologise, my dear! It was fun to read, cos of course I go through the same sort of process again and again. 'Oh, was it there? ... Maybe from this angle? ... Yes, that detail's right! ... Oh, maybe not, though. {sigh}' LOL!
And anyway, you totally scored with the doorway through which Arthur pushed Merlin! Gosh, I really do need to get back there... :-D ♥
This we saw in Lancelot and Guinevere last year when Merlin was pushed down the stairs.
Sorry I don't have a better picture of this one.
