Many of us have been puzzling over the distinctive Castle of Fyrien which featured in episode 307 as Cenred and Morgause's hideout. The Castle is located on an island in the sea, joined to the mainland via a causeway - and also via a secret tunnel that only Arthur knew about.
The Castle is where we first meet Gwen's brother Elyan. Cenred and ( Read more... )

Very good theories. I can't help thinking I've seen that castle before, though, but I've looked everywhere I can think and I can't find it. I wonder if it was in a movie and they just changed things around a bit.

Thanks, hon! I think they shall have to stay as theories, at least for now, but it's just been nagging at me for too long. I had to try to solve it! :-)

Thank you, hon! I'm glad you enjoyed this post - and I certainly appreciate your icon! We need to get the well-read Colin Morgan on the hunt here... :-D

I'm sure Dr Who have used that location, too! There's so much wonderful stuff within reach of Cardiff, but I guess it's no surprise that they double up on occasion.

I'm convinced it is Worm's Head. I've spent many a day sitting on the cliffs there and I know it well. Also walked over there at low tide a couple of times though the cliff sitting is mostly me waiting for my hubby as he treks over!

That's very cool! Thanks for the vote of confidence! It's a really beautiful place, and I'm gutted that I lost my photos... :-(

I like the theory, you've worked very hard on it. I did wonder about Lindisfarne but from another side to the one usually photographed. I did post a couple of photos of the Rhoselli headland when I identified it for us all.

Isn't it strange how we each have various locations that we still want to find. I have one which I found last week but as I'm away from home I can't post it yet - not as good as you loading pictures etc. whilst away.

Thanks again for all your hard work.

Oh hon! Of course it was you who raised the Worm's Head idea. Sorry, I had a senior moment there, but I remember now. ... I still can't find your post to link to, though. Any ideas when it was? Then I could look through the archives.

I'm looking forward to reading all about your new location! How exciting! I feel there's still so very much to do... Just as well that 'I'm Merlin till I die, I'm Merlin till I die...' :-)
