[admin] the prompts for 2009

Nov 29, 2009 19:01

Here is THIS YEARS prompt list because I know some people were asking for it.

I apologise for the lateness of this entry but I already thought I posted it and then I went on holiday and deleted my journal and other shenanigans but it is HERE NOW and I apologise for this mods lack of motivation. I have suitably chastised myself and now I am going to go and clean up the tags and memories so that we are READY for tuesday!

PROMPT LIST:

Day One; amnesty & ready!

Amnesty day means that you can pick a prompt from any of the 24 Day Prompts listed below and go wild with it! This is just because the prompt list is so late this year (entirely my fault so I am sorry!)

Have fun with it :D

[prompts; anything goes]

Day Two; Magic, Knights and Snowball fights!

It's all about the Knights and their christmas antics. Do they fight with snowballs or swords? Bewitched with magic or discovering someone's secret, it's all go for the Knights this christmas!

[prompts; someone's sword stuck in the ice, a snowball hitting Uther in the FACE, seriously, Merlin, they're Knights not kittens]

Day Three; Too cold to do anything!

A day of freezing. Cold hands and ice. Snowed in at Camelot or stuck in a cave. Intense cold and freezing limbs.

Day Four; Lost!

Sometimes things get lost. Sometimes people get lost. It's in the finding and the saving and sometimes even the rescuing. What gets lost is up to you :D

Day Five; Food for thought!

A Day of feasting! The late night ones are often most appealing, even if it's just ones amongst friends. With cookies and milk and even a yule log hunt! Maybe there's fruitcake andmore often than not there's over idulgence. As long as you bring food on this day, there's no way you can go wrong!

Day Six; All creatures great and small!

It's the day for the animals! Kitties and puppies and even BIRDS. We were gifted all of God's creatures for a reason; today it's their day to shine.

Day Seven; The Traditions we keep.

The traditions of Camelot are not exactly the same as the traditions of Ealdor.

Day Eight; Flame!

A day of fire and blazing hearths. Fireplace! Keep it warm this christmas using the art of FIRE. (Maybe the Dragon gets involved ;)) It's nice when there's NO SNOW, right?

[prompts; The Slash Dragon drops by. somebody's hair catching fire. what the hell, that was my good hat; you have a good hat?]

Day Nine; Dressing down

It's all about the stockings and the socks, the ribbons and the silks. All in the appearance is where it matters. Clothes keep a person looking their best this christmas.

Day Ten; Keeping warm!

bring out the blankets! Sharing them is the best way to keep warm. Even if it's only cloak lending or a scarf wrapped around your neck, the cold gets where we don't want to. It's time to change that!

Day Eleven; The woman of Camelot!

It's time for the woman of Camelot to shine! It's all about Morgana and Gwen and every other lady in the halls. Maybe Nimueh puts in a reappearance or some other outsider lady we've already heard from comes a calling. Hunith might even drop in on her son. LADIES!

Day Twelve; Twelve days of christmas!

It's time for that good old traditional prompt again :D

Day Thirteen; The servant/master divide

At the time of year the servant/master divide comes sharply into focus. Can a servant and their master be friends? Will they always see eye to eye? Today is all about that divide and the lengths we would (or wouldn't) go to bridge it.

Day Fourteen; The great outdoors!

It's time to take these shenanigans outside. Maybe somebody goes home for the holidays. Maybe somebody wishes they had somewhere else to be this christmas. Maybe somebody decides it's better to spend it outside than in. snow forts and snowball wars, trips and hunts and snow and mayhem. OUTSIDE is where it all happens today.

Day Fifteen; The art of celebration!

DRINK! Be MERRY! Oh yes, it's the time of drinking and hangovers :)

Day Sixteen; Family.

What makes a family?

[prompts; sometimes it's easier if they didn't know.]

Day Seventeen; Indecision and change

Some sort of change is undergone (physical, emotional, etc.). Indecision leads to a change in behaviour; maybe it's time for those holiday blues?

Day Eighteen; Baby's first christmas!

An actual baby, or just a romanticised baby? WHO KNOWS. (Maybe it's Merlin's first christmas AS Arthur's baby? Maybe it's GWEN'S first christmas as Arthur's baby. GO WILD.)

Day Nineteen; Decoration is the key!

Mistletoe (magical or generic), decorations, wreaths and of COURSE, the Christmas tree. Who wouldn't love to see Uther hanging decorations? Or childArthur, almost toppling over a stool to hang them on. Christmas decorating is always bound to bring the CUTE and the AWESOME.

Day Twenty; Father Christmas is a Sorceror!

Does exactly what it says on the tin.

[prompts; what's he going to do, magic holes in your socks?!. someone stuck in a chimney. a beard of feathers.]

Day Twenty-One; Rich and Poor!

It is never more evident than at christmas who is rich and who is poor. It is how those that are affected deal with it that matters the most. The poor children of Camelot are sometimes wistful about the abundance that the richer children receive at this time of year.

Day Twenty-Two; Spring is still distant!

In the depths of winter, this is a celebration of defiance, a promise of the Spring that is still too distant to sense.

Day Twenty-Three; Christmas is giving!

A special gift from a secret admirer. Everyone swaps gifts. First Christmas without. Anonymous Gifts. Charity.

Day Twenty-Four; Christmas eve!

It's all about Christmas Eve; the night before the morning after :)

THUS ENDS THE PROMPTS. Have fun :)

edit; WHEN TAGGING: please don't tag beyond your author tag, day tag and rating tag. (If you don't have an author tag just RATE!TAG PLEASE.)

Last year I just went along and added tags after the day had ended so we can do that again this year just to make it easier to collect everything together. THANK YOU :D
