I'm appalled and horrified by several things. One, the poster. Enough has been said about that. Two, the meanness and rudeness of some fans who have consistently spouted their venom at one of the characters for as long as I've been following the show. I'm thankful to TPTB that at least they have not bowed to pressures and they continue to cast her in a positive light and put her in a good place. The character and the actress deserves what the show is giving her. Three, the constant "pushing" of a certain relationship in a certain direction and persistence that what these fans see is what everyone ought to see. We all see what we want to see. We see things others don't; others see things we don't. I'm firmly convinced that most of the nastiness is coming from a small element which claims to speak for an element which is much larger in their minds than is reality. The show is popular many places and among many different groups throughout the world and many people are following for different reasons. There is a place for all aspects of the show; it doesn't need to be narrowed down to one. There is something for everyone. My message to these hateful vocal people would be to let others enjoy what they enjoy while you enjoy what you try to push down our throats.

Sorry to vent. Some things are downright sickening.

Some fans are certainly passionate about various aspects of the show, and it can be very interesting how different pairings and/or storylines appeal to those different audiences. :)

True there is sure a lot of passion lol. Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I wrote that comment right after reading all those tweets you had linked to and I was feeling a good bit of passion myself. Seems I grew up in a time when feeling passion wasn't tantamount to showing disrespect, rudeness, and unkindness towards others. But I guess if I'm to be a Merlin fan I'll need to get used to it. Anyway, I do enjoy the show, enjoy all the characters and all the various storylines and agree, as I already said in the previous comment, that they've done a good job of making a show which is appealing to many different folks in many different ways. Kudos to them for that and thank YOU for your service to the fan community.

Thank you for your kind words. We certainly enjoy putting the posts (and tweets) together so that like-minded people can enjoy reading the latest information.

The fact that the show does create so many, and such strong, reactions in people is probably a good sign, as opposed to being so bland and boring that no one could remember anything about it (or the characters) once an episode has ended.
