[S5 guest star tweet]Alfie Stewart, who appears to have played a druid boy/thief that Merlin was trying to protect, has finished filming with the show.

BFI Southbank now has a schedule of events listed for September and October; Merlin is not listed as of yet. Last year, the Merlin preview was announced about 4 weeks before the event, which in turn was 2 weeks before the TV premiere. If the rumoured 29 September TV premiere is accurate, an announcement might come in the next couple of weeks, so we'll keep an eye out for that.
Island: A soundtrack release is being planned for Island, according to composer Michael Price, who posted the opening title track of the film on his Tumblr. He also has 3 more tracks posted on his website, with one titled "Callum" after Colin's character.

■ Indiewire has new stills from Jayne Mansfield's Car, including two with John and Robert Duvall.
■ John contributed to the Norwich Heritage Economic and Regeneration Trust (HEART) by recording "the voiceover to accompany the Digital Heritage Project’s latest Anglo French archive film production Bon Voyage; a fascinating reflection on the history of travel and transport." [Click to read a quote from John]According to John: “It is imperative that film archives are kept alive. In terms of history it is so important to have an accurate account; film captures events in a way that photographs can’t always achieve. Archive film is able to entertain and educate people, and I mean educate in the best sense of the word - you can watch a fictional film of the 1960s but it isn’t a true representation as real archive footage is. A further reason for supporting this project is that I’m a ‘local’ now, not indigenous, but Norfolk is my county of choice and one has to question which is the more powerful?”
