Updates Sept. 14: Merlin air date speculation, BFI screening tweets, articles and snippets, and more

Sep 15, 2011 01:00

Merlin S4 air date: According to Merlin's Keep on Tumblr, the air date indicated with the S4 promo photos for episode 1 was week 40, which is the week of October 1st-7th, and week 41 for episode 2 promo photos. These of course do not constitute official announcements, and there have been some conflicting information from unofficial sources as well, such as an October 8 premiere from the Gay Times interview and a possible double bill according to CultBox. The BBC Press Office will post the TV programme schedule for week 40 on September 15th, although they may not post the complete schedule initially. It's also possible that an official announcement could come from the BFI screening on the same day.

Merlin article & snippets

♦ Digital Spy posted some S4 episode 1 promo photos, with a general summary of the episode, at this link (contains spoilers, of course)
♦ A Daily Mail article compared Kirstie Alley’s runway look at New York Fashion Week to Gaius’s costume.
♦ From a Coventry Telegraph article on a new fiction book: "Sword and sorcery is casting a powerful spell on popular culture again. That's largely due to the Camelot and Game of Thrones series, as well as the BBC's Merlin (which returns for a fourth run later this year) and a number of King Arthur projects circulating in Hollywood."

♦ NBC's Free Agents premieres in the US tonight, September 14th 10:30/9:30c

He replied that he is still "part of the team" albeit with less air time, given the larger cast now and the stories focusing on them, and he said it "works for [him]."
♦ According to his Facebook's latest post, Anthony has a new Facebook page as his old one has 1,000 friends and could not accept any more, but so far neither his old Facebook account nor his website have given an official link.

John Hurt
Wales Online posted a video on YouTube of the UK premiere of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy on September 13 at BFI Southbank.
