IMPORTANT! POSTING FIC SUBMISSIONS TO AO3
Hello, Merlin fans!
For Round 3 of the Merlin Prompt Fest we will be posting all fic submissions to AO3 as well as LJ. Below you will find instructions on how to post to our AO3 collection.
Once you have submitted your fic to the mod email (as detailed in the Submission Guidelines) we ask that you please also post your fic to the merlin_muses collection on AO3.
We ask that you please do this before May 6th, so that the fest can proceed according to schedule.
Instructions on How to Post to AO3 under the Merlin_Muses Collection
1. The collection is set to anonymous. You don’t have to do anything to be anonymous.
2. Your submissions are moderated. Once you post your story, it will be in the moderating queue and once we see it, we can approve it and then post to LJ with the header that will link to AO3.
3. At the end of the fest, we’ll be able to reveal your fics on AO3. Any kudos or comments you have received for this story are automatically nested under your AO3 name.
Directions:
1. Go to http://archiveofourown.org/ and log in.
2. Go to http://archiveofourown.org/collections/Merlin_Muses
3. Click "Post to Collection".
4. Fill out the appropriate information, just like you would to post a fic to your own account.
5. Click "Post without preview". Please do not preview or save as a draft. There is a chance that your work won’t get posted anonymously if you click preview!
6. Now your fic is in the queue for review!
Some notes about posting:
1. Please tag your fic appropriately. This means: tag for things you think people will want to search for (kinks, tropes) or avoid (graphic depictions of violence, dub-con/non-con & character death) as well as tagging the usual things like pairings/characters etc. Please don't use tumblr-style run on tags!
2. If you’re worried about HTML issues, it’s a good idea to post privately on your LJ and work out any coding issues you have before transferring the document to AO3.
If you do not have an AO3 account and do not wish to create one, please let us know so we can post your fic to AO3 using our mod account instead.
