Puzzlewood group trip (filming location)
In honour of this lovely summer we're having (ahem), I would like to propose a group trip to Puzzlewood, in Gloucestershire. Puzzlewood has been extensively used for outdoor Merlin scenes. If you've ever been watching and thought, "They rode past that tree last week, but last week they said they were heading north and this week they're heading south!" - this would be an opportunity to go and see that tree. :p
I feel this should be separate from the regular monthly meets due to logistics. Puzzlewood's closest station is two and a half hours' journey from London Paddington. A train at around 8am would get London-dwellers to the forest at around half past ten (not long after it opens), at which point Kip has volunteered to taxi train-riders from the station to the forest, as she would want to drive rather than take the train.
Adult entry is £6. There appears to be no student discount. As well as squeeing at familiar filming spots and trying to spot wild animals, there is a maze in which we can get joyously lost.
So! If you think it's a good idea, please vote on dates this summer! I haven't given specific Sunday dates as an option as the trains are more often borked on Sundays than Saturdays, but it wouldn't be impossible.
