Ahh, love it. Arthur's almost insufferably prattish but - almost. There's a certain charm to his oblivion and apparent self-consciousness. Of course that charm might just be Merlin! ♥

I read this and went to comment, and LJ was undergoing maintenance for two hours. Flail of the bad variety! :(

I couldn't stop laughing and cringing and oh, feeling bad for Arthur, which I am sure is not quite right. (Morgana is perfectly in character, which always makes me want to, I don't know, kill her. I don't know why.) And then. Nggnh, Merlin. That's all I can say about how omghot Merlin is here. But most of all, the armor! Oh, the armor.

I cackled like a madwoman at Merlin saying "Not a chance," and twitched a couple of times at the utter hotness of Merlin--MERLIN--being the one to have to explain what the damn oil is for, and ached for poor Merlin with his resigned hollow broken heart, and I adore your Arthur, I do, completely and totally.

I was actually thinking earlier that I really wanted to read a new fic from you, and then I found out about this! \o/ I basically spent the whole time laughing or beaming or nodding happily by turns. God I love it when Merlin gets to be awesome in bed, because we all know that with any practice at all he really, really will be. And I also love how this fic really illustrates what I like so much about them, that for their differences in station no one will ever come as close to equalling one of them as the other does. The ending scene just pretty much made me ridiculously happy, too. The whole thing was just so excellent, as always. Thanks so much for sharing!
