Enchanted armour
Hi, everyone!
I’m pretty sure the fic I'm thinking about was on AO3, but I'll gladly accept any recs in this ballpark.
What I remember is that Merlin had been more or less consciously enchanting Arthur’s armour for years so it was as good as armour could be. He would whisper to the armour as he cleaned/shined/took care of it, and the armour absorbed his magic and was more long-lasting than normal, reflected blows etc.
Then the knights start to notice. Arthur orders a new armour and Merlin is super huffy about it because of how much magic he had invested in the first armour to keep Arthur safe.
But as I mentioned, anything with Merlin spelling/enchanting/drawing runes on Arthur's armour to protect him would be great!
