Guard! Lancelot
Hi all!
I'm looking for a specific fic. I believe it was on AO3, but all I can remember is a few little bits:
- Merlin was caught entering the city at night by Arthur, and was completely nonplussed at getting caught as he knew the guard schedule off by heart, and that the guards were completely distracted by a thrown rock.
- From this, Arthur restructured the patrols in disgust, but Merlin left a deliberate hole in the schedule.
- Rather than leaving, Lancelot stayed in Camelot and became a guard.
- Lancelot noticed the hole and patrolled it, rather than leave it be and caught Merlin coming back into the city.
That's all I can remember, so any help in finding it is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
