Modern AU: Merlin comes out to religious Balinor
Hey y'all! I'm looking for a fic I read a while ago that I can't seem to find again. I'm pretty sure it was on ao3. It was a relatively short modern AU about Merlin coming out to Balinor. I'm pretty sure that in the story, he's been dating Arthur while away at uni, and he's scared to tell his dad bc he's pretty religious (Catholic maybe?) and doesn't approve of same-sex relationships. I don't think Hunith is in the story, though I could be wrong. In the end, he tells Balinor or Balinor finds out, maybe while Merlin is home on holiday, and he's pretty accepting bc he loves Merlin. Any help would be much appreciated <3
