Trying to Find a Bird!Merlin Fic
Ok so there was this fic I read (I think on AO3) forever ago where Merlin could turn into a bird of prey (Idk what kind)
I don't think Merlin was Arthur's servant, I think he just worked with Gaius, though I could be wrong there.
Arthur is really into falconry and he made friends with Merlin in his bird form and he'd use Merlin as his falcon instead of any others.
Some royal visits and makes his falcon attack Merlin.
Merlin realizes that the falcons belonging to that guy are acting kinda odd so he sneaks into the aviary in his bird form to kinda talk to the falcons there to see what's up.
He changes back to human form to look around.
He trips some magic sensor, or makes too much noise, or something and is discovered trying to shift back into a bird to escape.
Umm, I think that's all I remember. I've been looking for this fic for a long time and I've had no luck finding it so far.
It is a completed work.
