hello, a long time ago I read a fic in which Arthur and the knights are sent forward in time where they interact with their older selves. I don't believe Merlin is with them in their travels. I don't know about forwards in time, but there are plenty of fics where they are sent backwards in time to watch Merlin grow. I think there was even a tag for that.
