Shameless self-promotion, I know, but I wrote this fic called Of Dragonbabies and Noblemen which has Uther as a really good and supportive dad, and hopefully something like what you're looking for.

The summary is:
King Uther might be liberal enough to accept his son's homosexuality, but he's still too conservative to allow him to marry a commoner. A nobleman it must be, and after a series of matchmaking meetings, Arthur sets his sights on the future dragonlord. It doesn't necessarily go well.

Loved it! It's beautiful... The best part was how Merlin was ready to sacrifice his love and Arthur's like 'chillax, babe! my dad and your family are totally fine with this.'
