Writer's Block: To Shoot or Be Shot?

This is interesting, because a friend mine wants to make a little independant movie and she assumed I was camera shy because I suggested once that if we were going to make something that I would want to be behind the camera.
I am not sure if I am actually camera shy or if I just like shooting things more.
I gotta be around more cameras, finally figure this out
