Beta Request

I've never asked the great wide internet for a beta before, but I feel like my local betas are probably tired of constantly being prodded for aid. So, lovely Merlin beta community, I ask you humbly for a moment of your time to see if I'm headed somewhere you'd like to see - and perhaps in doing so, together we might see this duck released into the wilds for all to share. (Once I curl it's tail-feathers, of course) ((aka, it's not finished yet, and I'm sorry for that.))
Title: Working Title Destiny's Reach
Genre: ... Modern era romantic speculative historical invention? I'm rubbish at genre classification.
Pairing: Eventual Arthur/Merlin.
Rating: In this day and age, probably PG. PG-13 to be safe.
Type of beta you'd like: Flow, mostly. Any SPAG(? the internet tells me this is a thing) that I've missed. A brain to tell me if I've gone off the deep-end for characterizations or poured on a dump truck of unwarranted wangst. If you're like me and know obscure facts about things and can point at something and say 'there's no painted unicorn on that wall. Seriously, have you not been there?' that would be nice - if not, it's a wishlist add-on, not a requirement.
Word count: ATM 18k? ish?
Short Summary:
The last time Arthur had seen Merlin it had been 1969. A fourth bomb had just gone off in Belfast and Arthur was watching the newscast through the front window of a small appliance shop in the centre of Edinburgh. He had never wanted to spend his eternity fighting the endless battles that sprang up across the globe, the ones that Merlin seemed convinced where on his shoulders. So he had given up. Only...his last fight hadn't been against some foreign nation. It had been with Merlin. It isn't until he loses track of the man for the longest time in centuries that Arthur begins to re-evaluate where they've come from and where he hopes they may be again. When Merlin enters his life once more, it's up to Arthur to fight for what he thought he'd lost.
(And I send this out into the black hole and hope I haven't deviated unforgivably from form.)
