Summary: Arthur decides to go hunting by himself and Merlin worries he might get into danger, so Merlin decides to keep an eye over him by transforming into a white stag... Bad move on his part as Arthur sees him and thinks he'll make a great hunting prize and wounds Merlin in the chest...
Upon following the blood trail left behind by the stag, Arthur finds an unconscious and naked Merlin with a bolt in his chest... You can read my fanfic here
