Really, we all know the real reason why cupcakes are so popular. Cupcakes are basically an edible utensil for eating frosting, particularly when it comes to certain cupcake "flavors" like red velvet. What the hell is "red velvet?" It's nothing more than a fancy way to shamelessly eat a quarter- to half-cup full of cream cheese frosting. (

I consider my week a success, because I managed to go to the movies thrice: Saw Kick-Ass (men in costumes, fighting), Blind Side (men in football gear, fighting), and Clash of the Titans (men in armor, fighting). Do you see a pattern here?
The geek in me enjoyed Kick-Ass, even if I was slightly taken aback by just how violent it was (even though I realize most of it was meant to be ironic).
Blind Side was better than I expected, considering that I don't like Sandra Bullock and don't understand football. But who knows, if I watch enough football movies, one day I might actually get around to like it. As I should, if I'm going to live in the US!
Clash of the Titans was really really bad, and the worst thing is that I think not even watching it in 3D would have improved it. I still enjoyed myself, because I'm easy like that, but the dialogue made me cringe more than once. And I had to forcefully suppress all my knowledge about greek mythology.
After watching the last episode of Glee, I'm really craving good fluffy, schmoopy, or hurt/comfort Kurt centric fic. I don't even care who Kurt is paired up with, or if it's gen; I just want Kurt get big hugs from his dad or his step-mom-to-be or his boyfriend!
Also, it looks like I've actually got a place to live for when I move to the US in August! I'm going to live with two other grad students in a huge 3-bedroom-thing downtown, which is definitely the best area to live! One of the girl paints, and the other has got a cat, so I'm pretty sure it's going to be awesome! Also, I don't have to worry anymore about finding a nice place that I can afford.
