#1: Today, I got laser eye surgery. It was not an experience I'd like to repeat, but I lived through it! My eyes are blood-shot and they hurt, but when I actually manage to open them, I CAN SEE EVERYTHING! Like, things are actually in focus! It's amazing! After wearing lenses and glasses for so long (about 20 years), this is an incredible feeling.
#2: The down-side is that while the weather outside is sunny and lovely, I have to spend the weekend inside with the blinds drawn and avoid sunlight at all costs. I'm starting to feel like Edward Cullen, and I already asked my friend to tell me should she catch me sparkling.
#3: Because of the forcedly boring nature of my weekend, I would like to ask you for fic recs of the self-pimp sort: Please rec me your favorite underappreciated story!
Let me explain: In the process of archiving my fics on AO3, I've noticed that some of the fics that I'm particularly proud and fond of are stories that I knew (when I started writing) only a handful of people would be interested in, because they feature rare, unpopular pairings. For example, I'm rather attached to my Brothers&Sisters Robert/Kevin hooker AU fic: I knew that only a few people would read it because it’s (a) Brothers&Sisters (small fandom,) (b) Robert/Kevin, (unpopular pairing), and (c) AU, which doesn’t seem to be popular in B&S fandom either. Still, I think it came out pretty well and I actually like to reread it myself once in a while which I definitely cannot say for a lot of my earlier stories.
So if you know what I'm talking about, please rec me that fic of yours that you really love, even though not a lot of people commented on it. It doesn't matter if I'm in the fandom or not - rec it anyway!
#4: The third season of Leverage is going to start June 20. There's even a
promo clip!
This is a good thing, really, because I feel like I should start writing Leverage fic again, but for months now, my brain has refused to produce anything that doesn't feature a certain Kurt Hummel. Maybe I should write Leverage/Glee crossovers. I don't know. Eliot/Kurt could be hot. And would also be so very, very wrong.
