If you cannot attend but wish to honor his memory, he would have requested that you do something that he would have enjoyed. Merle_ was not one with strong ties to ritual or tradition.

We did this months ago, before we were even married.... but still..... I feel like it's a thing merle_ would have appreciated



My husband saw it where he works back in January and bought it for our apartment. We're kinda disappointed that at our new apartment we move into this week we aren't allowed to have mats outside the door. theonlyslasherz considered it quite the validation that I, his fiancee (at the time), was in complete support of our having this in front of our door....
