Long time no write....
Once again I have been neglecting my LJ. And also my friends list, but I'm trying to catch up with that at least.
As to what's been happening, I'll probably add a few oh by the ways in here and there over the next few weeks but generally it goes like this...
My folks gave me two weeks of peace (and use of their car, Mmmm, shiny and new-ish and Turbo'd) so, as must be done, I held a gathering, a Murder Mystery as it happened. Now I hadn't done one before so I was a little nervous about how it might go but it was great fun, although the game did slide towards the end as everyone was drunk. Really drunk in some cases, not me I would hasten to mention.
Also been back to the hospital in London for new drugs, which I should be starting in about a month. These have some interesting side effects, in particular if taken for a prolonged period they harden the tissues of the liver, kidney and heart, so nothing major there! So I've come off my old drugs and being a macho guy I went cold turkey on them, please feel free to surplant macho with stupid at this point. I ended up with a fever for three days while my body failed to cope with the sudden lack of the usual medication. I have since started taking the old stuff again at a lower dosage and I'm coming off them slowly.
And on a fun note Hastings has a man going around attacking women at random, with each attack becoming more and more violent. As a result I'm not letting a friend I work with go to and from work on her own seeing that she leaves late and walks a route which takes her past two of the points where the attacks took place. But this guy seems seriously disturbed.
And on that happy note I shall leave it be.
