pasta!

a lovely afternoon/early evening. Lauren called me around 2pm to wake my lazy ass up, haha. I asked her if she had eaten lunch yet and she said she has not but that she was really hungry. I told her to stay put and that i'd be over in a little over an hour. I decided i would surpirse her by showing up to her place and cooking her lunch. I took a quick shower and stopped by the grocery store to pick up everything I would need to make fettucine alfredo with chcicken and a side caesar salad. I also picked up a bottle of wine and some cookies & cream ice cream. It was wonderful and she was incredibly surprised with it all. Apparently noone had ever cooked for her before beisdes her mother. I found that surprising. I was just glad I could make her smile and hopefully make her afternoon a little brighter. By the time I had everything prepared it was already 5:30pm, so it was really more like an early dinner. Afterward we watched Matchstick Men(decent movie, even though i've never been a fan of nick cage ) and fell asleep on the couch for a couple of hours. It was one of the best times i've had in a while. to be able to make someone happy like that once again is the most elated feeling in the world.

Tonight i'm having a "close friends" night out with everybody, and Lauren is going out with some her friends. I'm really excited about seeing everybody! I haven't seen everybody since our return from the coast!! The only drawback is that crazy girl Amanda will be there since Smiles invited her blah
