coming to you from the commons

ladies and gentlemen, it's hurricane time. pensacola's getting the worst of it and so far, it's been a slice of cake. i'm here at the UWF campus commons along with a couple 100 other students. it's pretty laid back thus far. still have power (obviously, or i wouldn't typing to you right now) and plenty of food/water/space/sanity. people are watching movies left and right and there's always a card game to be dealt into. i left my house b/c i honestly felt as if a tree would come crashing down through the ceiling. i figure when that feeling overcomes you; getting out is a pretty good idea. so far there's been a lot of sleeping, eating, and reading on my behalf. hey, i gotta take one for the team once in a while. i have good intentions of studying chemistry but what are good intentions without little white lies sometimes? i emphasize "sometimes" because for the most part, my good intentions are simply and straight forwardly, good intentions. i hear back in my neighborhood, my neighbors have been without power for about 6 hours now.
if anyone needs to contact me, my cell phone isn't working constantly...i have a hunch it's that big ass storm outside...just a theory. but give my ohio home a call if you're really concerned. if not, well, i knew you never really cared anywho. JUST KIDDING! muahahaha.
it's midnight. the storm could continue for another 12 hours? after that, i could be without power up to 3 weeks. i'll keep you guys posted. this is so interesting. i'm scared, but fascinated by everything going on at the same time.

random fact: people are entirely too dependent on their mobile phones, movies, and loud stereos, especially during hurricanes.

has anyone ever heard of a good book?
