okay, so someone help me out with this...

for about a year now, i've been reading m/m original stories on ebook quite a bit. it seems to me that a lot of writers have some very interesting ideas about body height and weight. it is not uncommon for one man (or more) in the story to be considered 'small' at 5'8" or even 5'10"... ??? if the average height of the american male is 5'9", how does that make the man small? he might be shorter than his counterpart (which for some reason HAS TO BE 6'5" or so), but that does not make the man small.

by this same token, i've read a lot where a man at 5'10" is 'skinny' weighing 180 pounds. even if the guy had a large frame, that's still average weight.

size and weight isn't the make or break a story, but i'm telling you, it would sure help if some authors would do a little research when they make blanket statements.

in my relationship experience, i've dated men who were as short as 5'4" (and 112 pounds, way underweight), to 6'6" and 300 pounds. there were several in various sizes in between. average size being 5'8" and average weight.

*goes crawling back under the rock*
