So I visited the APO National Convention website because I was curious about cost. At this point, it does not appear that we will be attending unless something changes drastically in our finances. The Convention is cost prohibitive at this point. The hotel rate is $104 plus tax per night. And yes I realize that it's Boston at a Sheraton. Most active brothers can share the cost of the room and just have lots of extra brothers. However since we have an infant, we can't do that. I've also heard a lot about the babysitting option. They don't accept children under 1 year of age and given the cost, I wouldn't do it anyway. That's some of the most expensive babysitting I've ever seen! If I were to hire a sitter for the whole day, it would cost me more than what I pay weekly to my babysitter at home! Anyone willing to pay those rates must be desperate or crazy! I'm curious as to what others thoughts are on the Convention cost.
