This post is to psych myself up about Summer since the NHL season came to a close last night in a most disappointing fashion. *bratty, pouty kid voice* Quack. :op The ducks look like a rabbit.
Kristin asked me to help her with the Research Essay she's preparing for her final. What an honor! I know it may sound kind of lame, but knowing that she trusts my Mad English Skills with her GRADE is totally awesome. I'm surprised how easy it's been to slip back into study-mode. Almost makes me want to go back to school... Almost. It's been quite few years since I had a paper due that wasn't a lab report, but it's turned out REALLY well... She turns in the draft for peer review today. I'm excited to see what they say. I'm expecting more argumentative aspects need to be added, but we have a few of those ready anyway.
The upcoming weekend and weeks following hold many-a-fun-time in store for me! Shall we list them? We shall.
Friday: directly following work (5:00pm precicely) I'm heading to Seattle to spend the weekend with my very favorite cousin, Hannah and (bonus) catching Temperedcast at Point 1's CD Release show on Friday night (At studio 7 around 9pm, all you Seattleites - i'll be there, I'll be cute... come see me? oh and the band, whatever haha)
ANA will be home next week! We're hanging out. Hopefully we'll get in dinner, maybe some drinks and possibly a jam session, since that's something we seem to do quite well together. I pretty much LURVE her.
Kristin starts MTC rehearsals on the 18th. The apt will be relatively quiet in the evenings, aside from her talent piece being rehearsed. It'll be nice to have time to myself, but something tells me I'm going to really miss laughing with her on our walks every night. And her birthday is the 30th... Hey, Roomie, what do you want??
CANADA DAY is coming up!!! Jen and I are planning a big ol schindig in MF for the 1st. Dairy-free and full of all the Canadian fun and frivolity we can handle. My guess is we'll have a taped game to watch, Canadian foods to eat, maple leafs EVERYWHERE and a rousing game of OTTAWA?! FUCK! NHLopoly. Stoked.
Just a couple weeks after that, on my birthday, no less, Melanie arrives! I couldn't ask for a better birthday weekend! We can hang out at Mama's or by the pool at my place, have a SPN marathon, watch old *NSYNC crap, get pedicures... Pretty much whatever we want. I love us.
That's enough planned excitement for now... We'll see how things roll after all of that.
I love SUMMER!
