Time sure flies when work is non-stop chaos ;-) But things look like they're finally calming down. This is the first Saturday in weeks where I've felt awake and energetic enough to actually do something more creative and constructive than either napping all day or sitting on my butt in front of the TV and watching the same DVD over and over because I was too tired to get up and change it *grin*. Last week's movie was the Director's Edition of Star Trek - The Motion Picture, which was in my DVD player all week. Call me a nerd, but I actually liked that movie when it first came out. The Director's Edition is fun to watch, if only for the new (and better) special effects that they computer-generated for the new edition.
Think I'm going to Syracuse today, because there are some plush spottycats I'd like to rescue. Saw them about a month ago, but didn't get them at the time because I wasn't sure if I wanted spares or not. Hopefully they're still there, but, if not, then it wasn't meant to be. Might be my last chance to take a random road trip for a while, too, if gas keeps rocketing up in price. It's gone up 10 cents/gallon at some stations here in the last couple of days, with 87 octane now over $2/gal everywhere locally *sigh*. I know the prices are worse in many places (and I know $2/gal is peanuts compared to prices outside the US), but we're still above the national average pirce.
Time to gather up my plush navigators and get on the road so I can get there and back before the thunderstorms arrive!
