When Massu came to the dressing room late for their Myojo photoshoot, the atmosphere was palpable. Well, in a sense that the rest of his bandmates were crowded in front of a laptop (Tegoshi’s), obviously taken in with something he does not have an idea of. And the weird thing was, they seemed to be watching something but no sound was coming out of the laptop’s speakers.
So when Massu sneaked on them, his jaw dropped, an audible gasp escaped his lips, causing his bandmates to turn their gaze at him.
“Why are you watching that?” Massu’s eyes bulged.
Nobody answered him. All of them were blushing bright red.
“Um, well, we actually adore Maria Ozawa,” Yamashita started. “You probably never heard or seen her before?” The others were looking at Massu, expectant yet guilty to be getting caught watching soundless porn.
Massu gave them a long, hard look. Then he walked away, taking out his gyouza to eat. The others exchanged glances as Shige wondered if Massu can never indulge himself with sexy, AV idols.
The next day, Massu was late again. The others were already lounging in the music room, getting hyped up for that day’s recording for a new single. They were chatting about the latest movies in the cinema when Massu came in, bringing two, humongous plastic bags, brimming with DVDs and clear files full of photos. Massu gave them his usual sunny smile as he settled the bags in front of the members.
“What are those?” Koyama asked cautiously. Shige and Tegoshi peered at them while Ryo and Yamashita waited for the onslaught.
“Well, I decided I should share what I have.” Massu smiled widely.
“What…you have?” Koyama’s brows creased. The others were slowly having an idea of what Massu was talking about.
“Yes, What I have!” Massu repeated happily. Tegoshi noticed that he did that signature bounce step of his.
“Which is?” Yamashita asked, one eyebrow up.
Massu took a handful of dvds in both hands. “My Maria Ozawa collection!”
KoyaShige’s jaws dropped. Ryo’s eyes widened. Tegoshi stared at Massu’s collection. Yamashita couldn’t believe his ears.
“You know guys, this should be the kind of Maria Ozawa vids that you’re supposed to be watching. That “Kidnap Ninja Warrior Princess” was no good,” Massu blabbed on. “You should watch this limited edition I ordered online. She was pure awesome!”
Koyama slowly shook his head, probably to pray that his hearing had already failed him. Ryo and Yamapi looked at Massu in awe, not trusting themselves to speak. Shige and Tegoshi looked through his collection.
“When..when did you start collecting these?” Tegoshi blurted.
“Well, I actually bumped into her in Shibuya.” Massu grinned. “That’s when I decided I’d be her biggest fan.”
Ryo was positive he heard that line somewhere. He wasn’t sure where. The others were looking at Massu as if he was an entirely different person. A fanboy to boot. Which they did not expect. From that day on, whenever they were in doubt about a particular Maria Ozawa clip, they were always sure to ask Massu first.
