[locked to Silver Dragon and Hinata Inn people/Those Involved in Ninja Attack]

Okay, so we all know that Ninjas attacked. Hell I doubt the entire world doesn't know by now due to the epic hivemind that we had. This place is like Hogwarts: a carefully guarded secret = the entire school knows ( Read more... )

...You know, at this rate, I'm starting to think I prefered the epic hivemind of "Ninjas" from everybody.

So, this makes the second time Ravemon's arrived in just the nick of time to haul Tetha's ass out of the fire. He sure gets around when it involves city politics.

Yeah, but he is the area leader. And really, how hard is it to see a throwdown that smashes up a wing of a complex as big as the Inn anyhow?

Of course, the seriously paranoid part of my mind is thinking this is way too convenient. I think it's Xanatos Time.

True, but just how many residents were fighting? Suspiciously few, and that's not even bringing Brewfest into the equation. It was only the people who were actually at the apartments at the time and sober, so people like Ryo and me were completely out of the loop.

...I've got a bad feeling about this.

Not many. Myself, Kevin, Ben, Gwen, and a few others like Mithos and Harry came pretty much out of nowhere. We're just lucky the commish crashed into the far side of the complex, or Chien would have gone totally bear on all of those ninjas.

I'm putting my money on the bear.

Thanks for that princess. But yeah, so do I. That's not a moon, it's a space station.

Yep. And with all the people who were at Brewfest--Kelsey, Ryoko, and all--they'd have a bunch of superpowered people of varying degrees of sobriety coming after them.

Damn, just that many? You, Mithos, and Harry were probably the most powerful of the group. I mean, I've got a lot of respect for Ben and his friends, but it actually scares me that there was an attack with so few people who can fling magic at the enemy.

And millions of voices crying out in terror that were suddenly silenced. I think we're about to run into a wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.

I know. Where the hell was everyone that was sober anyhow? I mean, considering that even Sarge and his pals didn't show up makes me wonder.

I find my lack of faith in this situation disturbing. We are not Jedi yet.

Yeah, and that's scary. Granted, I was across town working on Rose's apartment, but seriously, there are more than enough people living there that someone should have seen or heard something.

Damn. The Force is strong with this one.

Or even sense it. Where the hell was Asuna-sensei? She should have at least helped mop the floor with them.

We do not know the power of the Dark Side.

Sorry, Matt. Was going to help, but Jason went into leader mode and had us trying to find anyone in trouble. Thought you guys had it!

YOU WERE THE CHOSE-- ow! Sorry, Sam!

Quit that!

Well, that explains some people at least. Still weird that no one else showed. Especially since Sarge enjoys pain and suffering.

Eh, I'm an Original Trilogy guy myself.

...straaaaaange... an attack when everyone is drunk off their butt or doing something else.

Yay, conspiracy!

Can't rule that... and we can't flub it like we're doing with the whole mole ordeal, and I KNOW this isn't the mole crap...!

Yep. Better timing than Doom.

Are we seriously going to run to Xanatos for everything? I know I suggested it to Ryo, but...

I'm not sure. I don't think we should come to depend on him.

...it may be the lesser of two evils here, Terra. What if that attack hurt someone in the Inn? It could have been anyone in there... ...even Karin...

It's either that or let them get away, I hate to say...

Hate to admit it, but you have a point. Xanatos is good at derailing evil people, but this time he doesn't have the knowledge edge we need.

Maybe mark him as Plan B.

...I know, Sasami. I just have a hard time trusting him. With everything he knows...I don't know, I feel like something's bound to go wrong.

But if he's what we need to get out of this, I'll go along.
