Last post!
I haven't felt like blogging for a long time now, because all I can report is that I've been packing, which is more or less true.
One new event to add to my misadventures in packing procrastination is A2008, the Astronomy exhibition at the Glass Hall of the Singapore Art Museum. Great line-up of speakers and fascinating telescopes on display, so was really glad that I volunteered to help out. Met the seniors for dinner afterward whereby they presented me with a painstakingly done masterpiece of cross-stitching featuring the JADEBLAZES picture! This will likely be my last blog post in Singapore for the next four months at least! On one hand I'm glad to be coming back for winter to be away from the cold and with my family, but on the other hand that just makes uni like an extended 4-month holiday and not really much about the independence I was hoping to learn. Maybe the grass is always greener on the other side.
Most of the US people have flown, including the Twinses, whom I've known for almost half my lifetime. It's only just beginning to hit me that I won't get to see everyone - classmates, Astro peeps, juniors, seniors, DSTA peeps etc. - for extended periods of time due to different return schedules and am really beginning to miss everyone. Gotta thank everyone for the well-wishes and for spending time going for outings, and sorry that I couldn't meet up with everyone before I leave. Especially to my dear juniors and students, it's seeing how you've grow in your interests and skills that makes all the CCA work and short classroom time spent fulfilling and worthwhile =) All the best in the coming exams!
I can't promise pictures when I'm there - I've never been one for photos. We only get that much time in anything we do and every moment spent taking pictures is a moment lost from the experience. Carpe Diem! Will, however, always be keeping in touch, via msn/skype/email/facebook or if you're in the US, by phone (at night please, if you're not on AT&T, my dear Verizon and T-Mobile people). I know I've not done a very good job of keeping in touch with people but I guess being apart only serves to reinforce how much they matter to you. Drop a note as and when!
