[ Alice has found herself bored. It's only natural for such a curious and explorative girl to become bored after having looked through most of the nooks and crannies of the city, not to mention the fact that the city isn't quite as interesting as her own Wonderland, which she feels she could rediscover time and time again and never get bored in.
That's why you might find a girl sitting around on the east side of Meridian, reciting something well-known to her all by herself. Her tone is light though, and with the way she's reciting it, it almost sounds a little as if she's singing a song.
The song even resounds on the Second Level, if you happen to pay attention. ]
'Will you walk a little faster?' said a whiting to a snail,
'There's a porpoise close behind us, and he's treading on my tail.'
See how eagerly the lobsters and the turtles all advance.
They are waiting on the shingle, will you come and join the dance?
[ A very slight pause, but then the near songified poem continues. ]
Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, will you join the dance?
Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, won't you join the dance..?
