EVERYTHING HURTS | 001
[It starts with a scream, and then it leads into the sound of footsteps, some frantic breathing (or mutterings, depending on how good your hearing is). The usual sounds from the Second Level are quiet, drowned out by the sudden panic and all of it is only from one person. His feet pace over the glass and at times he even has to jump, yelp when the ground beneath his feet ends and begins once more. Eyes pace around for a familiar face, but all the while he just can't. Stop. Running.
They're going to kill him for this, he just knows it and he didn't even start it! Just because he was the first to see the change, it doesn't mean that it's his fault at all! Still though, there's no one to blame and even then Steve doesn't want to blame anyone for it because then well.. they're the ones in trouble! That doesn't mean he /wants/ to be in trouble though... He keeps looking over his shoulder, then forward. ]
Oh no oh no oh no... How did, what even--?
[Stopping in the middle of wherever he is, Steve finds no one. He puts his hands to his head and squats down. He buries his face in his knees, arms wrapped around his legs for a moment. There's a small sound from the back of his throat, caught between a whine and a sob. At that, a glass cube falls from who knows where, nearly misses one of the holes in the ground. As a result, it's a split sound as it chips the edge and right away Steve jumps up, startled. Eyes wide, he looks around and shakes his head, cups his hands around his mouth. ]
Guys! Everyone! Someone?! [He starts running off in another direction, screaming incoherent things about how it's not his fault.] Something bad happened--!!
