Who: Joker, Asato When: After nightfall Where: Old gas station far from the city Rating: R Summary: Asato is a naive boy who trusts a guy with a knife and a Joker card not to do crazy things
Joker was still waiting around for him the next night. Things were coming along quite nicely with his plans; he just had to keep trying to enact them the best he could. It wasn't easy when he didn't have all the lankies, so he'd been trying to delegate a little bit. Asato going out and spreading the cards would help a bit, but he needed to delegate even more if he ever wanted to get it done.
Fortunately for Asato, Joker realized he couldn't rely on him too much so he probably wouldn't ask him to help again.
Asato had dispersed the cards like he was asked, alternating between putting them in conspicuous places and just chucking them at people before running off. He wasn't too good at just handing them out, but at least he'd gotten the deck out to the general public, and he wanted to make sure Joker knew he'd done his job. A task had to be seen through to completion.
He entered the gas station once more. "I've done what you asked," he announced.
"Great. Just... Take your second half." Joker was writing something down, seemingly preoccupied. But every so often, his eyes darted up to glance at the other, examining him.
His fingers twitch as he resists the urge to draw his sword.
"I've done my part. I gave out the cards like you asked. I don't need anything else, so stop messing with me. If you don't have anything else to give, just say so."
He turned to leave with an aggravated hiss, tail flicking in agitation. If Joker did decide he'd want to try anything funny and come find him, he'd fight him off just like he would anyone else. He was beginning to wonder if that little bit of food was worth it.

Joker was fully prepared for the other telling him that it wasn't any of his business.

He was pretty predictable.

"Fair. E. Nough." He punctuated each part with a smack of his lips. "I have something to give you, though."

"What is it?"

"No, no, never mind. It's too early. Can you come back in a week?"

"Quit messing with me. If you don't want to give me anything else, I'll just go. The food from yesterday was enough."

Joker laughed and waved his hands at the other, encouraging him to run off.
