I was just sitting at work, minding my own business, when Amy and Caitlyn decided that we were going to drive down to Black Butte to visit Haley for the night. Worst idea EVER.
We finally get there around 11:30pm due to a nice flat tire in the middle of Africa. **Wow, if you know Amy and Caitlyn, try to imagine us three changing a tire in the middle of no where in the dark, we are such idiots...**
When all of a sudden Haley tells us that we wont be able to stay at her house now.
Tiiiight.
My plan was just to sleep in the car, or on the bench out front of the cute little general store, but noooooo! Amy refuses to sleep in the car (it was her little Jetta) so we turn right around and head home. To make it even more fun, I had to pee but I was too scared to go in the dark woods. :( So, that is a total of 5 hours of driving for no reason, also known as death. I sat and sang songs from girl scout camp on the ride home, but I slowly annoyed the other passengers and was forced to stop on threat of death
So we got back into LO around 2:30 or 3am and Amy is headed home and drops Caitlyn and I off on the street by her house. We then realize that neither of us have our keys so we don't have access to our cars or our homes. So not only have we spent a few hours driving for no reason, we are now homeless in the middle of freakin westlake. Its cool though, because I would make a GREAT bum, thats for sure.
I try and sit down on the curb, but I was viciously attacked by worms and ants! Finally after an unsuccessful attempt to hitch hike, we found someone who was still awake to take us in for the night(not a total stranger, but our good pal Kyle). Around 5am we finally crawl into bed. I was lucky enough to be able to wake up at 10 that morning and drive to Eugene for the day for a family BBQ, then I finally get home around 10 that night. What a loooong day.
So if you are ever homeless, just give me a call and I will help you out with a few survival skills. I am thinking of writing a book, I would call it, "How to survive a night alone in Westlake with no car, no food, and no cell phone..." tee hee just kidding. Ok, its cool, I am a big idiot. I am done now
Comming soon: Pictures from our night of being homeless/other random activities
