2006 in Review (writing)

Well, it's almost the end of the year, and I've been looking back at what I've been writing all year. I've tried to use this journal to keep track of what I've been doing and I think it's worked out pretty well.

To tally everything up: I posted 8 stories this year for a total of more than 203,000 words.

They were as follows:

Equipero 2: The Next Day 6504 words, which I wrote for cordelia_v's birthday.

Jerusalem 23,171 words, which I wrote for arsenicjade's hurt/comfort challenge.

Small Acts 13,852 words, which I wrote for the Snarry Olympics and which has never made it to my website for obvious reasons.

Outside the Lines 73,281 words, which I wrote for painless_j and cordelia_v's Snape is straight Challenge. When all was said and done, he wasn't as straight as he'd first thought.

A Hiding to Nothing 59,885 words, which I wrote because I'm mean and wanted to see how Snape would deal with being an indentured servant. He didn't end up minding as much as I thought he would.

Perfect Day 1237 words of Kingsley/Snape, which I wrote for bethbethbeth's birthday. Someday I'm actually going to write a real Kingsley/Snape story.

Yule Treat, 2411 words, which I wrote for painless_j's birthday. I plan to write a few more stories in this series this coming year.

And a Smutmas story (to be linked after the reveal).

I also wrote a 22,000 word gen story that's still with its first beta (hint hint). And a 78,000 word Snarry story that I'm working on the changes my first beta has suggested. Both of those should be coming early next year.

If you're a writer, what did you write this year?
