Well, it's been a while since I posted anything of substance, hasn't it? I've been insanely busy at work. Add to that all the other outside things I do…
Fandom:
Bones: I have no idea what's going on here. I'm caught up, but it seems like forever since we've had new episodes. *sigh*
Castle: How do I love this show, let me count the ways. I love Castle and Becket and Alexa. But I also love the guys and Castle's mom and the ME. I love the plots even when they're cheesy and Castle's awesome relationship with Alexa. So, yeah, I love this show.
Leverage: So, I've finally broke down and watched the last 3 eps from season one. And wow. Someone should have told me how good they were. I've watched all of season 2 in the last couple of weeks. I have to say they were much better than slogging through the middle of season one, which as you may remember left me kind of cold.
Suffice it to say I need recs for fic. I can and will do any combination of Hardison/Parker/Eliot. I also like gen a lot in this one. What's good? Tell me, please!
And it might turn into a hair fandom for me. Because, OMG Christian Kane's hair! Just saying...
NCIS: LA: I so love this show. I'm really starting to like all the characters, not just Sam and G. Of course, they make the show. But Heddy rocks like a rocking thing. And Kensi is very cool. And I'm even starting to warm up to the shrink.
I want a nice long G/Sam story, preferably with ice cream involved, but I'll take long and well written. Any chance of finding it anywhere?
NICS: I think I've fallen out of love with this show. The face across the breakfast table is a stranger. *sigh*
Supernatural: The last couple of eps before the break were good. Kindling my never fading hope that things will work out and my show will be back on track. Tell me again why I had to wait this long for me new eps? At least, the wait will be over soon.
White Collar: Not caught up yet.
Writing
My
hp_beholder is with its second beta and hopefully will be turned in soon. I was pleased with how it turned out.
My spn_j2_bigbang story is almost done. I've got a couple of scenes that need to be rewritten. And I've also got a couple of betas lined up for it. It's going to be the sequel to Matrimony With His Majesty.
Oddly enough, I finished another very short story in the Better Days universe and started a another short one. I wrote the first story for cordelia_v's birthday in 2009 and wanted to do another story for this year, but I didn't get it finished. The story has stayed stubbornly gen, too. I think it's going to slash eventually, but I'm not sure anymore. Severus and Harry are just that difficult.
I've been playing around with a Hermione/Draco story that will be the sequel to Eighth Year. I've got like 12k words, and I just need some time to write out the last few scenes. I was hoping to do it for the dracobigbang. Unfortunately, I didn't find out about the fest in enough time finish the story and I couldn't make the 3/6/10 deadline. Maybe this summer.
I've got 2 other Snarry stories I've been poking at, but nothing I've had any time to work on.
Life
Since I've been working insanely, I haven't had much time for other things. Book club is at my house this month, which should be fun.
CON.TXT is coming soon. I hope I'm going to see everyone there, even though I'll be working at the con, I'm hoping to have time for a dinner on Saturday night. Anyone who is going interested? Let me know and we'll start to plan something.
